13th December 1997 - 7pm, Bruce n Michelle meet! I was all dressed up and ready to go out for the Christmas Party, single and crazy is how I would describe myself at that time. Some may say a nutter. Walking into the Union pub in Hinckley I clocked a guy at the bar with mutual freinds. I turned to my mate at the time and said I'm going to have him (How cheeky) and so, I spent the rest of the night talking to this gorg guy I later found out was Bruce! Yes it is true I chatted him up but heah what the hec, he was cool and dissinterested it seemed and really made me work for it, this set the scene for our early years of dating! Bruce was never one to jump into anything given a choice, and anyone who knows him will know you have to earn your right to be one of his friends. He has no time for shallow, high maintenance people. That first night was amazing and we spent the whole evening and night together chatting. I left hime with my number not expecting to ever hear from him again but by 5pm the following day we were sat chatting on the phone and planning our next date. The next 12 years have been the most amazing journey together of falling in love, travelling around the world together, building a home together, having amazing freinds, staying in love whatever happens and getting absolutley hammered together with Bruce always making sure we both got home safe together! We spoke most mornings over the phone when Bruce got up as I always had the silly early morning start times and we never left each other in the morning or went to bed at night without a kiss. We both knew that a relationship really can be perfect. xxx
