The first time I met Bruce is probably the time that sticks in my memory the most. Testing at Mira, I had forgotten to grab a testing weight from the workshop. Test engineers commonly referred to these as 'sausages', as they were motorcycle inner tubes stuffed with sand. Anyway I had arranged for one to be sent up to me, and then ran into Bruce when he was riding Pave. The look on his face when I asked him to nip to the gatehouse and pick me up the sausage that someone had dropped off was a picture. We laughed a little when everything was explained, Bruce like the gent he was said 'no problem' and d went of and fetched it for me. Bruce was a gent. Always took the time to say hello and have a chat. He is missed at work. Ian
